The L2O Lab is located in the University of Ottawa's Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. 

We are broadly interested in better understanding the cycles of carbon, nutrients, mercury and other contaminants across landscapes from headwaters to nearshore coastal environments, drawing on principles and approaches from environmental chemistry, earth sciences, hydrology, limnology, oceanography and ecology.

• January 2026: Welcome to Zac, who is starting on his M.Sc. research to develop a strategy for contaminants research in the Yukon! 
• December 2025: Kate and Kyra present work from the Yukon River Headwaters at the Arctic Annual Scientific Meeting in Calgary.
• September 2025: Welcome to Chantal, who is starting her PhD, and Jaida, Paisley and Trishna, who are working on honours projects!  
• May 2025: Welcome to Jessica, who earned a NSERC postdoctoral fellowship for her work on Atlin Lake!
